Mima’s Corner – a Grandparent View

Becoming a grandparent is almost as exciting as becoming a parent. In Mima’s Corner, I will share some of the pleasures and some of the pains, some of the hopes, dreams and fears of grandparents.  Grandparent advice is sometimes lost due to over- or under-involved grandparents. I hope to communicate a worthwhile perspective sprinkled liberally with humor… because, really, neither parents nor grandparents are going to get through this process without crazy, weird, scary, thrilling and embarrassing things happening.

While I do have eight grandchildren ranging in age from 8 months to 12 years at the time of this writing, I don’t by any means consider myself to be an expert on this topic. Take what I say with a grain of salt (that expression alone is evidence of my age!). Maybe I can share something you will find helpful, but at the very least I hope I can get you to laugh.
